Community Grants Initiative	Grantmaking to community-based organizations and public agencies to enhance capacity to provide strength-based, developmentally appropriate and family-centered services for families of young children.
Cultural Access Services	Translation, interpretation and outreach services for families and providers.
Early Connections	A community effort to promote wellbeing of children at risk or with social, emotional or other developmental concerns.
Early Childhood Mental Health Capacity Building	Provide training and opportunities for reflective practice for the early childhood mental health workforce.
Hayward Promise Neighborhood	Comprehensive educational and social support of Hayward children, families and residents.
Help Me Grow	System of early identification of children 0-5 with developmental, behavioral and/or social-emotional concerns.
Higher Education	First 5 funds two and four year colleges and community based organizations, provides support to support early education students to enhance professional skills, obtain higher level child development permits and complete college degrees.
Quality Counts	Site based coaching and specialized consultation for early care and education programs to improve quality of child care. Early Childhood Mental Health consultation is available to sites to promote positive social and emotional climate of the classroom. Programs are eligible to receive grants to make classroom improvements and incentives for teacher training.
Home Visiting	Funding for county and community agencies to provide pre-natal and post-partum home visits for teen parents and high risk families.
Neighborhood Partnership Grant Project	Capacity-building partnership between First 5 Alameda County and six city libraries and park and recreation departments to offer family-centered school readiness programming in neighborhoods with low-performing schools.
Pediatric Strategies	Support to the pediatric community to implement best practice models for developmental screening, literacy and parental support.
Project LAUNCH	Leverage of resources, linking of services and identifying unmet needs to support the East Oakland community.
School Readiness	Preparation of children for successful transition to kindergarten.
Touchpoints^TM	First 5 Alameda County is a national training site of the Brazelton Touchpoints Center. Touchpoints training builds on the capacity of professionals to support the expertise of families toward providing sensitive, nurturing and developmentally informed parenting.
